The Therapist Academy

Mentoring

The know-how you need to thrive as a Therapist in Private Practice.

I've worked with lots of people at all different stages of their Therapist journey  - helping them to start up and grow, and stand out from the crowd by sharing everything I've learned, and I want to help you too.

This is not a course, a webinar series or group Facebook training.

This is me working with you on a 1:1 basis (via zoom) sharing with you everything I've ever learned (and believe me, there's A LOT) to help you grow, and it's entirely tailored to you. I will mentor you, nurture you, guide you, hold you accountable and be your cheerleader - everything I wish I could have had when I was first starting out and navigating the world of Private Practice.

Clinical Supervision

As well as being awarded a Fellow by the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) I am also an accredited supervisor. Supervision is a formal process and designed to ensure the efficacy of therapists in practice, which in turn, enables therapists to work towards providing the best possible practice for their clients.

You are the person that sits with people in the dark, very often at their lowest points. You enable others to off load their troubles, their biggest fears and their darkest secrets.

You help to heal wounds, and reprocess memories. Those hours you spend inside your clients minds is to help your clients understand themselves on a deeper and more meaningful level so that they feel empowered and have the knowledge to change how they think and how they respond to the stuff life throws at them - so having someone to offload to, and to help you reflect is paramount to your ongoing development and growth as a therapist.

I work with therapists on a 1:1 basis via zoom, providing supervision as part of their CPD

Dr Tina Mistry

The Brown Psychologist

"Working with Catherine was a brave step to really examine myself. It became the moment to change my future.

I was struggling with my identity as a south Asian woman and Catherine compassionately created a space for me.

She allowed me to see possibilities and helped me to see the courage that exists in all of us.

It was so great working with you".

Ray Freeman

Chair National Council of Psychotherapists.

"I have known Catherine for several years.  Even from the very start of her training she has inspired me with her style, sense of purpose and humility.  I have watched almost mesmerised, but not surprised by her rise to the very top of the Psychotherapy profession.

Almost unheard of was her award of a Fellowship of the National Council of Psychotherapists in no more than four years of private practice.

Very few psychotherapists ever achieve this award in a whole career, Catherine did it in four years for her outstanding work for the profession and her clients.

We are now peer supervisors and over 30 years in practice I have struggled to find my match in ability but here with Catherine I have.  I finish every supervision session inspired to achieve and to motivate an old hand like me is no easy feat.”

"I was feeling a huge sense of overwhelm and frustration with making a go of my business. In one short hour Catherine identified where I had become lost and helped me reset my compass. I came away feeling motivated and empowered to continue and grow. I have a definite direction now and that's thanks to Catherine. She is an amazing champion and therapist."
