I’m the resident well-being expert for John Lewis Leeds and I’ve also worked on campaigns with Dame Kelly Holmes for national stress awareness week; collaborated with well-being brand NEOM, and offered my behavioural insights to agency campaigns on subjects such as motivation and womanhood.

I’ve spoken on countless panels in partnership with brands such as John Lewis and Whistles and I’ve hosted panel discussions too – one of my favourite panel discussions was the Marie Claire Magazine ‘Future Shapers Live’ event in London in 2018.

I’ve guest contributed on issues such as loneliness in Women’s Health Magazine, the ‘sunday night dread’ in Grazia and have shared my happiness hacks in Boots Health & Beauty Magazine. I’ve contributed to articles for CNN, BBC, Telegraph and have co-written in Happiful Magazine and others.

I just so happen to love LIVE radio. I love it because it’s an opportunity to share with the world what I’ve learned. Whether it’s talking about shyness on BBC Radio 5 Breakfast or a live call in on BBC Radio Leeds about OCD after rocking up the air miles, this is my passion. For the last 3 years I’ve been the Resident Psychotherapist on the Stephanie Hirst show on BBC Radio Leeds, on air every month, giving the inside story of what I know, and I also regularly speak on BBC Radio 5 Live sharing my expertise.

Powering Progress

The more stories that I hear in the therapy room, the more questions I have, and the more I want to find some of the answers, and power progress to close the inequality gap when it comes to women’s mental health, because women are 2 to 3 times more likely to experience a mental health issue.

2020 was the year I started my further academic journey (in the middle of a global pandemic) because I wanted to understand in a much deeper capacity female mental health.

I will graduate from Leeds University with an MSc Psychology in 2021 and then I plan to embark on my Psychology PhD journey.

I’ve been blogging, article writing and sharing daily content on my instagram feed about what I’ve learned for the past 6 years. In 2021 I decided to put everything I’ve learned into a book and that draft manuscript is now out there in the literary agent universe waiting for a publisher (I hope) to bring it to life. In the meantime, being a columnist for Flock Magazine is the next best thing.
