What people say about the podcast:

An Antidote to “Aren’t we all a little autistic?”

“Every autistic person knows the pain of disclosing their autism to someone only to have them reply with “aren’t we all a little autistic?” Living in the world can be so invalidating as a neurodivergent person and this podcast does such a excellent job telling the stories of autistic people, and thereby validating the vast array of similarities and differences among autistic people. I’m a late discovered autistic woman myself and I burned through these episodes fast. They did so much to educate and comfort me. For the first time in my life I feel truly seen, heard, valued, and understood within a community. For the first I HAVE a community. Thank you thank you thank you. There is so much hope within these episodes. Catherine Asta and Caty Ava make a beautiful podcast. PS I also really love the music by Allora. Gorgeous vocals and intriguing lyrics!”

Calm voice of validation, reassurance and hope

“Receiving my AuDHD diagnosis on my 40th birthday was the best present I could have imagined. After living under the fogginess of overwhelming confusion for four decades, the diagnosis dawned a sunshiny new beginning. I was elated to have this clearer understanding for my experiences, but on many days since, the clarity has felt too overwhelmingly bright and painful at times too. Listening to Catherine’s gentle conversations with other late diagnosed autistic and neurodivergent people has been a calm voice of validation, reassurance and hope and I’m so grateful to have found this podcast. Thank you Catherine for your invaluable support of your neurokin in creating this space.”

A lighthouse when I was all at sea

“In my shell shocked first few days post discovery, after trawling for info I could relate to, I discovered the Late Discovered Club. That was it, I immersed completely listening back to back when ever I had a minute around work, kids and domestic life and emerged a few weeks later having gobbled up every episode feeling more enlightened, having too many light bulb moments to mention, flitting between ‘I’m so AuDHD’, to ‘Am I?’ a zillion times, crying, wailing, laughing, but above not feeling so alone. Thank you Catherine and team so very much, not sure what I would have done with out you and your wonderful guests, all of you so inspiring.”

Shooting Star

“Listening to Catherine has been one of the most calming experiences I’ve had for a very long time The podcast stands out amongst the noise and clutter of the podcast world. It’s helping me to recover making sense of my world and life, Thank you”
